Can I count on you?

It’s a secret I can’t keep

I try to keep it all in but I can’t

My mouth is shut

But my heart shouts out

Maybe it’s how He makes me feel safe

Maybe it’s how He loves me

Maybe it’s because

When everyone saw a failure

He saw beauty

Maybe because

When they all rejected me,

He called me His own.

I am burdened with His love

I can’t hold much longer

I think I’m gonna scream!

Please hold me

Pleaseeeee hold me now

Or they’ll all think I’m crazy

I’ll no longer fit in.

I’ll no longer be cool to them

But it doesn’t matter

Cuz when they’re all gone,

He’s all that will matter

His love will be my food.

My Pen On My Tongue

My pen on my tongue

Writing the words I never said

My pen on my tongue

Telling the stories I never spoke

I considered the shame

I feared for the blame

Shielding my name

Concealing the pain

Do they know?

Do they care?

Do they ever consider?

The pain I feel

They come and they go

It rains, then it snows

I’m left frozen in the heat

I’m kept shivering in the snow

I smile

So it’s cool right?

I try to keep it all in

But my eyes refuse to lie

They turn me in.

But they still can’t tell

That sometimes it’s hell

When they say those nasty words

When they laugh like I’m the circus

I’ll still keep my pen on my tongue

Hoping someday,

The ink will spill

Then I’ll spit

The words I never spoke

The feelings I never wrote.

I Heard Of A Great King

I heard of a great king.

Nations came to pay respect to him

Kingdoms begged for treaties in fear of his might

And great men bowed down at his sight.

By his word, men were slayed,

By his hands kings beheaded.

A mixture of fear and bowed heads preceded his presence.

Many nations exalted him as god.

He shook the world…

Yet, he died

And so did his name

History books taught me

Of kings, rulers, leaders

And people who shook the earth by their deeds.

Empires like Babylon whose reign seemed endless.

Whose wealth was countless

Now all that remains of them

Are the books they wrote and paintings they left.

 The pieces of ruins we store in our museums

For Babylon’s sake,

The blood of thousands was shed.

For the sake of Rome,

Many kings were dethroned

Yet, they fell

Yet these empires fell.

Today,

I see the world still hasn’t learnt

Today

I still see the nations bent

On having all the power, amassing all the wealth

But just like Babylon,

Just like Rome,

Just like Hitler,

They will all end

And all that will be left of them will be

The ruins of the world they built

In the museums and the history books

Like a wise king once said, everything is meaningless.

However, there is a King i know

His kingdom has no end,

His reign is forever

He can never die.

He rules with an iron scepter

And His name is Faithful and True

His kingdom is in heaven

And in the hearts of all who submit to Him

He is the King above all kings

The LORD above all lords

He is Yeshuwa Christo

He is Jesus Christ.

He is God!

You could be a part of His eternal kingdom

You could enjoy His love, Joy and Grace.

You can be in His eternal kingdom

Or

You could hold on to the world and all its vanity.

The bible says in Deuteronomy30:15,

“I have set before you life and prosperity, and death and destruction”

That life is in Jesus Christ, the eternal king.

If you have chosen His life, I’d like you to say this prayer;

“Lord Jesus, I repent of my sins. I accept you as my Lord and savior. Please come and be the King of my life. Amen”
